Connect Canvas
Canvas gives every student a private calendar link. Paste it in Gloss once and your due dates keep syncing on their own.
Steps
- Open Canvas in a browser on a laptop or phone and sign in with your school login.
- Click Calendar in the left menu.
- Click Calendar Feed at the bottom right of the calendar.
- Copy the link. It ends in
.ics. - In Gloss, tap Canvas (on Connect your school during setup, or in Settings later) and paste it.
Gloss shows you what came through before saving anything, for example "23 due dates from 4 courses".
What Canvas's link leaves out
We tell you this up front so nothing surprises you later. Canvas's own documentation says the feed:
- only includes events from the last 30 days and up to 366 days ahead,
- stops at 1,000 items,
- does not include To Do items.
Assignments with no due date are not on any calendar. Gloss looks for those in your professors' emails and your syllabus instead.

Keep your link private
The link opens your calendar without a password, so treat it like one. Gloss stores it encrypted and never shows it to anyone else. If you think someone else has it, ask your school's Canvas help desk how to get a new one, then paste the new link in Gloss.
